Bill To Help Colorado Veterans Advances At State Capitol

DENVER (CBS4)- A bill designed to help get more service dogs for veterans in Colorado has advanced at the state Capitol.

The bill would establish a pilot program to teach 10 veterans in Colorado to train their own dogs to help with post traumatic stress disorder.

The hope is those veterans would train other veterans to do the same with dogs.

The bill passed its first house committee on Tuesday afternoon.
