Wildfire Contained In Eastern Pueblo County

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — A fire that burned about 300 acres of brush in eastern Pueblo County has been contained.

Authorities said Friday no one was injured and no structures were damaged or threatened by the wildfire that started Wednesday morning in a field.

Investigators blamed the fire on a power line that was downed by strong winds in the area. Dry conditions and strong wind gusts allowed the fire to quickly spread to the Huerfano River bed area.
