SWAT Responds To Shots Fired In SW Denver Neighborhood
DENVER (CBS4) - Police and SWAT teams responded to reports of a shooting in a southwest Denver neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
Police rushed to Federal Boulevard near Mexico Avenue just after 3 p.m. after firefighters in the area on another call heard shots fired.
Copter4 flew over the scene as SWAT officers were in position on the roofs of an apartment complex in the area. A person was taken away by officers but it's not clear why.
Officers interviewed witnesses. What led up to the shooting has not been determined.
Police thought there might have been a second suspect in the area but didn't find anybody.
Area schools were put on lockdown during the incident.
