Death Of 2-Year-Old Montrose Girl Ruled A Homicide

MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) — The death of a 2-year-old Montrose girl has been ruled a homicide.

The Montrose County coroner said Thursday Tobi J. Doyle died of multiple head injuries from blunt force impacts, and that the trauma was not accidental.

The coroner's office and Montrose police are investigating.

The child was unresponsive when an ambulance took her to Montrose Memorial Hospital on Feb. 12. She was resuscitated and flown to Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, where she died early the next morning.
