Broncos Fan Killed In Crash Honored By His Best Friend At Super Bowl

DENVER (CBS4) - Friends and family will remember one very special Broncos fan on Super Bowl Sunday.

Alex Stuber was killed in a car crash two years ago but he made a promise with his best friend they'd be at this Super Bowl. Stuber was a big Broncos fan and his best friend Eric is a die-hard Carolina Panthers fan. When they were young they promised each other they'd go to the game if their teams ever played each other.

Eric will be at the Super Bowl and he asked Stuber's parents if he could bring his ashes.

"I'm here fulfilling my end of the promise. I brought a little piece of him with me," Eric said.

"He was a great young man. He was phenomenal, full of life, full of adventure, and this would have been an absolute monumental event for him to see the Broncos in the Super Bowl," Stuber's father said.

Stuber's family says the lead up to the game has been very special and they're very thankful
