Broncos Von Miller Shines In AFC Championship Game

DENVER (CBS4) - There were many great plays on defense in the AFC Championship game, but Broncos linebacker Von Miller clearly led the charge.

In a great performance in the first half against the Patriots, Miller became the third Broncos defensive player to record an interception and and half sack in a playoff game.

Then in the third quarter, Miller sacked Brady on the 1 yard line and then made a key tackle on third down that forced the Patriots to punt with 5:10 left.

And then he sacked Brady again with 43 seconds left in the quarter.

With 2.5 sacks in the game, Miller set a Broncos single-game playoff record for sacks.

The other Broncos players to record a sack and interception in a playoff game were Darrien Gordon and Ray Crockett. Gordon did it against Jacksonville on Dec. 27, 1997. Crockett did it on Jan. 11, 1998.
