CDOT Reports 'Baaad Traffic' North Of Windsor

WINDSOR, Colo. (CBS4) - Hundreds of sheep blocked a road north of Windsor Tuesday morning, creating one of the cutest traffic jams you could get stuck in.

About 500 sheep who escaped their pens crowded State Highway 57, the Colorado Department of Transportation said in a Facebook post. Multiple cars were stuck waiting for the sheep to cross the road, and a few were able to slowly slip by the herd.

Several men, one on a four-wheeler, and a dog were able to corral the sheep after about 15 minutes.

Most importantly, the opportunity to utilize as many puns as possible was not lost on CDOT:

"If ewe were stuck in traffic on SH257 north of Windsor this morning, this is why. About 500 sheep were on the lamb after escaping their pens. It took about 15 minutes to gather up the "ram"bunctious critters. Fleece Navidad!"
