Broncos Trail Patriots 14-7 After 3rd Quarter
DENVER (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - The Broncos trail the Patriots 14-7 after the third quarter. Denver just couldn't get any offense going in the quarter.
The Broncos once again made some bad penalties. On the Patriots' first possession of the second half the Broncos sacked Tom Brady for a big loss but Von Miller hit Brady late when he was on the ground to keep the drive alive for Brady and company. But the Broncos were able to hold and get the Patriots to punt on the drive.
T.J. Ward and Sylvester Williams have both been ruled out for the rest of the game with ankle injuries. Louis Vasquez is also ruled out with a groin injury.
With seven minutes left in the quarter Brandon McManus badly missed a 47-yard field goal that would have got the Broncos within four points.
