1 Killed In Shooting On Peoria, Traffic Slowed

DENVER (CBS4) - One person was killed in a shooting early Monday morning.

Police arrived on scene at Peoria Street and East 47th Avenue at 4:45 a.m. to find one person in a car shot. That person was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Northbound Peoria Street was shut down at 4:45 a.m. while southbound remained open.

There is not yet a suspect description, and officers are interviewing neighbors.
