Medina Alert Canceled, Vehicle Involved In Hit & Run Located

DENVER (CBS4) - A Medina Alert issued Thursday evening for a driver involved in a hit and run was canceled later that night.

Denver Police sent an alert at 11:21 p.m. that the red Chevy Avalanche truck associated with a hit and run that seriously injured a pedestrian had been located.

The hit-and-run happened about 3:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the 2000 block of Alameda Avenue near Tejon Street. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital.

Police said they found the truck in the Green Valley area, in the 4700 block of Argonne Street.

Investigators have contacted the owner of the vehicle and are following up on tips. It is unclear if the owner is the driver involved in the hit and run.
