Weber State Beats Northern Colorado 38-17

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Eric Wilkes ran for 122 yards to help Weber State beat Northern Colorado 38-17 in a Big Sky matchup on Saturday.

Wilkes carried 22 times for the Wildcats (2-2, 1-0). Jadrian Clark threw for 99 yards and a score, a 7-yard pass to Tui Satuala in the first quarter. Clark was replaced in the second half by Justin Shaw, who finished the game with 82 yards passing.

The Wildcats were up 17-0 at the break when Shaw opened the second half as quarterback. He ran for a 5-yard score then connected with TyJuan Prince for a 46-yard touchdown and Weber State led 31-0 with 6:56 left in the third quarter.

Jacob Knipp scored for Northern Colorado late in the third on passes of 27 and 40 yards to close the gap to 31-14.

Knipp threw for 228 yards for the Bears (2-2, 0-2).
