14 Cases Of Salmonella Linked To Cucumbers In Colorado
DENVER (AP) - Fourteen cases of salmonella tied to recalled cucumbers have been reported in Colorado.
The state health department said Tuesday that one of the 14 people sickened was hospitalized but no one has died. The cases are mainly clustered along the Front Range in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Jefferson and Larimer counties. One case was reported in La Plata County.
San Diego-based Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce voluntarily recalled "Limited Edition" brand cucumbers Friday and has said it's working to determine if the cucumbers are involved in the outbreak that's sickened around 300 people in 27 states.
Colorado health officials say anyone who bought those cucumbers between Aug. 1 and Sept. 3 should throw them out.
