'Leap Of Faith' Captured Atop Maroon Bells
ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4)- It's one of Colorado most popular hiking trails and includes a risky alternative that is not recommended.
What's called the "Leap of Faith" on Maroon Bells was captured on video by Nick Courtney who was hiking with his friend Chad Brenner.
Climbers are familiar with the spot which is considered dangerous because of the jump and the risk of sliding rocks.
Brenner made the jump but several rocks crumbled behind him. The pair told the Aspen Times they were not likely to take the leap again.
Experts say there are plenty of other, less dangerous routes on the hike.
