Broncos Notebook – Aug. 12, 2015: Fans Welcomed Back
Peyton Manning spoke today:
"If me scrambling for a yard is biggest play of camp than your standards have been lowered (laughs)."
On Brady leaked emails: Brady sent an apology text that wasn't necessary. Everyone has speculated on retirement so he just joined the list. No big deal at all. He's been "roasted" before and this was not a roast.
On preseason: wants to play, will prepare to play each game, wants to work with new guys, but will follow the plan. (Kubiak said they will decide tonight if Manning plays on Friday).
On his health: did a few things different this off-season and he feels great, but didn't give up any foods he likes. Joked he will still drink a Bud Light.

Red Miller watching practice. Spoke to Red Miller, Rich Upchurch and Gene Mingo. All three joked about the differences in camp today from their eras, and the lack of hitting during today's practices. Also said the facilities they practiced at are night and day to what has been built for the players today.
Rick Upchurch: "This is a country club compared to what we had."
Gene Mingo: "Facilities? What facilities?" When asked to compare his training camp facilities to these.

The fans are back for Broncos camp today. Last open practice before the first pre-season game on Friday at Seattle. Field still LOOKS pretty good from the sideline despite the rain this week.
Chris Harris getting another day off. Worked with a trainer on his own. Marvin Austin, Lerentee McCray also out, but pretty good participation other than that.
Broncos alumni are here today. Watching practice from the viewing area at the indoor facility.
- Update from Mark Haas
After practice being closed to the public on Tuesday because of damage caused by a storm on Monday the Broncos welcomed fans back on Wednesday.
