Durango City Council Clarifies Sanctuary City Classification
DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4)- The Durango City Council hopes to clarify an issue that has caused a lot of confusion. The council will vote on Tuesday night that it is not a sanctuary city.
Sanctuary cities have laws sheltering illegal immigrants from deportation.
Durango was listed on the Sanctuary Cities website.
The city manager said that designation is incorrect and hopes tonight's vote will clear up any confusion.
