Alcohol Suspected In Fatal Motorcycle Crash That Shut Down I-70 Near Idaho Springs
IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Alcohol may be a factor in a deadly crash that shut down part of Interstate 70 Saturday evening.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, a 35-year-old woman was killed and two other people were injured when their motorcycles collided near Idaho Springs.
Apparently the bikers tried to pass a vehicle on either side and then slammed into each other when merging back into their lane.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. and backed up traffic in the eastbound lanes until late Saturday night.
