Fireworks Cause Several Fires In Loveland, Including A House Fire
LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews in Loveland say they battled several fires overnight because of fireworks.
Firefighters say most of the fires were bushes and grass outside of houses, but one home Essex Drive sustained some heavy damage from a fire.
Firefighters were able to put the house fire out. Chief Michael Cerovsky said the family told investigators they cleaned up the remnants of legal fireworks they'd set off in the street and put them in a cardboard box. Somehow the remnants heated or reignited.
The family had left home to watch a professional fireworks show in Loveland and returned to find their home on fire.
The cause has been ruled accidental. Nobody was injured.
