Parker Man Wants Apology From Police After Arrest In Child Sex Sting

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- A Parker man wants an apology from police after he claims they tarnished his name after he was arrested, accused of soliciting child prostitution.

"I feel betrayed. I feel like my name is being spit upon," said Kody Green.

In April, Green, 28, was one of nine men arrested in Parker during a nationwide child sex crime sting called Operation Broken Heart. Last month, that charge was dismissed but he says he's a victim of slander.

Green said he did intend to meet up with a woman he met online but he was met by police officers instead. He was arrested and charged with soliciting child prostitution.

"I did not do anything wrong. It was dismissed," said Green.

On June 25, the Douglas County District Attorney dismissed the charge. The DA told CBS4 the charges were dismissed because they didn't have a good chance of conviction at trial.

Green thought the ordeal was over but five days later, Parker Police posted his mugshot on Facebook, along with eight other suspects arrested in the sting.

"Cruel and unusual punishment. Everybody I know has started to doubt me," said Green.

A spokesman with the Parker Police Department told CBS4 that the department was still investigating Green even after the charge had been dismissed and maintains it was accurate to publicize that he had been arrested.

"I'm seeking a public apology," said Green. "Because of the shame that the Parker Police Department put on me, I lost my house."
