Boston Bomber Likely Headed To Supermax On Temporary Basis

DENVER (CBS4)- The Boston bomber is likely headed to Supermax prison in Colorado, at least on a temporary basis.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death and will likely be sent to the death row unit at the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, where Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was put to death and more than 50 other people are awaiting execution.

But before he gets there, Tsarnaev could possibly be sent to the Supermax prison in Florence, temporarily, before he is sent to Terre Haute.

Tsarnaev could spend years or even decades in Terre Haute as his appeal makes its way through the court system.
