Boulder Reservoir Swim Beach Closes Amid Rain Runoff
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Boulder Reservoir's beach was closed Tuesday afternoon due to elevated bacteria levels.
During a routine water sampling test, bacteria levels were determined to be higher than usual. It is believed to be a result of the rain runoff.
The city's Parks & Recreation office said the beach will remained closed at least through Wednesday.
Once bacteria levels have decreased, the swim beach will reopen.
Boulder Creek is also closed because of high, fast-moving water from rain and runoff.
