Police Search For Hit & Run Driver Who Stopped To Argue With Victim

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver would like to hear from anybody who witnessed a pedestrian getting struck by a car in Capitol Hill early Saturday morning.

According to police, at approximately 12:30 a.m. a pedestrian was struck by a silver mid-sized sedan in front of apartments located at 1441 North Pennsylvania Street.

"The driver is described as a stocky black male in his mid-40s who got into a verbal argument with the pedestrian before fleeing the scene," police said in a statement. "The pedestrian suffered a fractured ankle as a result of the vehicle running him over."

The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene southbound on Pennsylvania Street.
