Storm Opens Up Over Denver With Heavy Rain, Hail
DENVER (CBS4) - A Weather Alert was in effect for the metro area Monday night as sunshine and partly cloudy skies gave way to ominous dark clouds, heavy rain and lightning.
Doc Rich sent CBS4 video showing the hail that pummeled Englewood late Monday.
One man in Englewood checked his car for damage after the storm left cars covered in hail.
"I came out from about 44th and Kipling and came back to this mess ... It was pretty bad, hopefully it didn't destroy my car too bad," he said.
Similar weather was seen in Lakewood. A Vine video from CBS4 Photojournalist Jeremiah Bellile shows enough hail fell to cover the roads.
In Denver, heavy rain drenched many streets. There was minor flooding and deep water was pooling near I-25 and Broadway.
