Windows Smashed, Homes Egged In Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies in Jefferson County arrested three suspects believed to have vandalized several homes in one neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday, five homes in one neighborhood in Jefferson County had rocks thrown through the front windows. Of the five homes damaged, four of them were in the 6th Avenue Estates neighborhood. The fifth home was nearby.

There was also a car that had a rock thrown through the rear windshield and several homes were also hit with eggs.

Just after 3 a.m. Jeffco Sheriff deputies said residents were awakened by the sound of breaking glass and called 911. Jeffco deputies responded to the area and were able to locate the three 19-year-old suspects.

The suspects have not been identified because of the on-going investigation.

Due to the replacement cost of some of the windows the suspects are facing felony charges.
