Shots Fired As Police Surround Barricaded Suspect In Aurora
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A barricaded suspect kept police at bay and forced one school to take additional security precautions on Friday morning.
A man at 6868 S. Cicily Court in Aurora fired shots outside an apartment just before 9 a.m. on Friday.
Police responded and Grandview High School was placed on a secure perimeter as a precaution. The school was not involved and located several blocks from the situation.
The alert at Grandview was lifted less than two hours later.
The bomb squad responded in addition to a negotiator from Greenwood Village Police.
Officers said the man fired two shots outside and then retreated into an apartment where he continued shooting. No hostages were involved.
