Mother Of AFA Cadet Who Died Mysteriously Goes Missing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The mother of an Air Force Academy cadet who died under mysterious circumstances has gone missing, according to her husband.

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is still investigating the death of 21-year-old Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros. He was found injured in a dorm room on campus and later died on April 2. The cause of his death hasn't been made public but it's not a criminal investigation.

Now Quiros' mother, Ksenia Quiros, has disappeared. Her husband told KKTV, the CBS station in Colorado Springs, his wife went missing Wednesday morning. Her family's truck, a 1998 red Dodge Ram, was found at an open space on the southwest side of town but dogs lost her scent during a search.

Ksenia Quiros is described as 44, 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with blue eyes. According to her family she has worked for the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Anybody who spots Ksenia Quiros is asked to call police.
