Man With Gun Walks Into Sonic, Threatens Employee

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Thornton are searching for a man who tried to rob a Sonic fast food restaurant but only threatened an employee with a gun before he ran away.

The man walked into the Sonic at 3605 E. 104th Avenue about 3:12 p.m. on Sunday while holding a gun in his left hand.

He threatened an employee but left without stealing anything.

The man is described as a white male, 25-35 years old, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with a thin build, light blonde hair with some gray, blue eyes, last seen wearing a gray pullover hoodie, light blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black wallet with a chain attached.

The man is considered armed and dangerous. He could be associated with an SUV-style vehicle.
