Police Say Motorcycle Forced Off Highway In Road Rage Case

AURORA, Colo. (AP/CBS4) - Aurora police have arrested a man after witnesses said he was in a car that forced a motorcycle off the highway in a road rage incident.

Police say a passenger in the car was having a dispute with the motorcycle rider when the passenger jerked the wheel of the car, crashing into the motorcycle and forcing both vehicles to roll over on northbound Interstate 225 between Iliff and Mississippi avenues.

"The passenger reached up and they could clearly see him jerk the wheel right and into the motorcycle," Sgt. William Revelle with Aurora police said. "Both vehicles left the roadway, hit the jersey barrier on the right shoulder, and started rolling."

The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries but is expected to recover.

"Had he not had all of his protective equipment on, this could have been a fatality," Revelle said.
