Plane Reportedly Crashes Over French Alps
DENVER (CBS4) - The French paper La Provence is reporting an Airbus plane crashed in the Alps region of France Tuesday afternoon.
It happened north of Marseille.
There were at least 142 passengers on board the Germanwings flight, in addition to two pilots and four flight attendants.
Airbus stated it is aware of the reports of a crash but could not yet confirm.
French President Francois Hollande said there are likely no survivors in the crash. Officials, according to the AP, said debris has been located in the Alps 2000 meters high.
