Off-Duty Firefighter Helps Crews On Way To Neighbor's Garage Fire In Golden

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that swept through a garage at a home in Golden Monday evening.

The blaze broke out at a residence located in the 200 block of Eagle Drive. An off-duty firefighter who lives on the block was the first on the scene and talked with crews as they were on their way.

The homeowner was inside the home but got out safely after being warned by a neighbor.

The fire was confined to the garage and its attic.
