Water Main Break Closes East Evans Avenue

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Water responded to a water main break at about 10 a.m. Friday on the 5800 block of East Evans Avenue.

The 16-inch-diameter pipe ruptured around 9 a.m., closing East Evans Avenue between Holly Street and Leyden Street.

Denver Water said roughly 30 businesses located on East Evans Avenue will be out of water during the repairs.

The cause of the break has not yet been identified. Crews hope to have the repairs completed and the road reopened by 8 p.m.
