Nevada Man Gets 8 Years For Threatening Denver FBI Agent

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Nevada man convicted of threatening to kill and FBI agent during a phone call to 911 in Washington has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Jeffrey Henry Williamson, 49,  of Las Vegas was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Washington.

According to government evidence, Williamson called the 911 Office of Unified Communications in the District on June 19. Prosecutors say Williamson threatened to kill an FBI special agent who works in Denver.

Authorities say Williamson threatened the agent because the agent had investigated harassing and threatening phone calls Williamson allegedly made to federal judges and others in Denver.
