Colorado Man Accused Of Dealing Drugs In North Dakota To Plead Guilty

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Denver man is accused of drug and weapons charges in the North Dakota oil patch has agreed to a plea deal in federal court.

Jesse James Jackson is charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

Jackson allegedly told authorities he moved five pounds of meth from Denver to the Dickinson area between May 2012 and February 2013. He is also accused of threatening another person with a handgun while trying to collect a drug debt.

Jackson faces life in prison without parole.

A federal public defender was not available for comment.
