Puppy Rescued From Frozen Pond
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4)- It was a close call for a puppy after it fell through the ice of a frozen pond in Broomfield.
The Labrador puppy was on "Josh's Pond" on Friday after running out onto the ice to chase some geese.
The puppy fell through a weak spot in the ice and into the frigid water.
Rescuers from North Metro Fire Rescue pulled the puppy to safety. The dog seemed to be just fine after snuggling up in a warm blanket.
The puppy's owner wrote this on Facebook thanking the firefighters: Thank you so much for your amazing rescue and for saving my dog's life! We are very fortunate to have such amazing fire rescue in our community! There's not enough kind words or big enough hugs I can give to all involved! Indigo is doing just fine and is back to his energetic puppy ways! All rescue involved were the most incredibly kind and compassionate people and went well above and beyond! I'm way indebted to you for saving my little fellow's life! Indigo and I will be stopping by tomorrow with baked treats as a small token of our appreciation! Thanks again for everything!!!
