Greeley Firefighters Rescue Injured Person After 30 Foot Fall At Construction Site

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters in Greeley rushed to rescue an injured person after a 30-foot fall at a construction site.

Firefighters received the call at 9:19 a.m. Tuesday on reports of a person injured in a fall at 1060 1st Avenue in Greeley.

When firefighters arrived, they confirmed the person had fallen 30 feet to the bottom of a building under construction. It is unclear whether the person was working at the site.

Additional Greeley Fire units were requested to respond to perform a technical rescue. A Greeley Firefighter/Paramedic and two Firefighter/EMTs made access to the patient and to provide patient care and help get the patient ready for rescue.

The crews rigged an on-scene technical rescue system, utilizing ropes, pulleys and aerial ladder. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

It is unknown whether the patient rescued was a man or a woman. The condition of the rescued patient is unknown.
