Man's Body Found In Car Belonging To Murdered Loveland Woman

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - A 36-year-old Loveland woman who was found dead over the weekend was shot and killed, and a police later found her car with a man's body inside, authorities said.

Police went to the home of Angela Howard on the 3600 block of Butternut Drive on a welfare check on Sunday morning. They say she was shot multiple times. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday said late Monday they found Russell Steven Woolman, 52, of Loveland, dead in a car registered to Howard. A gun was also found in the vehicle.

Neighbors told CBS4 Howard rented the home for the past 4 or 5 years. They said police removed a mattress full of bullet holes from the home as part of their investigation.

Police didn't reveal until Tuesday morning that they are investigating the case as a homicide. They aren't saying when she died or if they have arrested a suspect in the case, but they said there is no danger to the public.

Neighbors also said they expect the death might be a domestic-related killing and she may have been dead for a couple of days before her body was discovered. They said they never heard any gunshots.

Ken Wiezorek and Jolai Leonti told CBS4 Howard recently started dating a new boyfriend who is from Pennsylvania.

"As soon as he moved in with her she was different," Leonti said.

"She cleaned houses and stuff, and she was very, very personable. She'd stop and talk to us, you know every time she'd seen us," Wiezorek said.

Wiezorek said he saw Howard in the laundry room with a black eye a few weeks ago.

"When he first came in I seen Angela in the laundry room with a black eye and heavy makeup and she kind of shunned away," he said.

Howard had an 11-year-old daughter.
