Man With Young Girl Pulls Knife On Store Employee In Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office would like the public's help identifying suspects in an incident involving a knife being pulled on a store employee.

Surveillance video shows a man and woman walking into the Burlington Coat Factory on Bowles Avenue in December with a little girl.

"A man and a woman were pushing a shopping cart towards the exit without paying for the merchandise. A little girl was riding in the cart. When an employee yelled at them to stop, they ran out of the store taking the cart with them," Mark Techmeyer with the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Techmeyer said the man threatened to stab the employee before driving off in a maroon Dodge Durango. They left the merchandise behind.

The man is described as Hispanic, about 5-foot-9 with short dark hair with the sides shaved short. He was wearing "glasses, blue jeans, a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark tennis type shoes with white soles."

The woman is described as Hispanic with dark hair and "last seen wearing light pants and a dark winter jacket with a large hood with fur trim."
