Police Investigate Attempted Child Abduction In Parker

PARKER (CBS4) – Authorities in Parker are investigating an attempted kidnapping that occurred Monday afternoon.

According to police, a young girl told them a man in a truck tried to pull her into his vehicle, but she screamed and ran away.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. in the Clarke Farms subdivision.

"It was determined a lone juvenile female was walking on the sidewalk in the area searching for the family's dog when a black full sized truck pulled close to the curb and stopped near her," police said in a statement. "The passenger of the truck reached out of the window with both arms and attempted to grab the juvenile while saying, 'Come here.' "

The girl told police there were two people in the truck -- a bald black man with a goatee and tattoo on his right shoulder and a Hispanic man in the passenger seat. The passenger was in his 20s with short hair on the side of his head and longer hair on top. He was clean shaven and was wearing a black shirt.

The vehicle was described as a black full-sized truck with rust on the roof and a sticker of a skull in the rear window.
