Haley Smith and Lexy Kresl combined to make 6 of 17 field goals and score just 14 total points, more than 11 below their season average, for Colorado (7-5).

Brecca Thomas hit a 3 with 10:14 which capped a 12-0 run and gave Colorado its first lead, 43-42, since the opening minutes.

Bonnie Samuelson answered with a 3 of her own just 12 seconds later, sparking a 15-4 run which gave Stanford a 10-point lead. Orrange scored nine during that stretch.

Jen Reese sandwiched a pair of jumpers around two free throws to make it 57-53 with a minute to go, but a bucket by Orrange sealed it.
