The Denver Sheriff's Department said the vandals broke into at least six cars off of East 42nd Avenue. They stole stereos, CDs and personal information.

They also stole an AR-15 assault rifle and a 9mm handgun from a deputy's unmarked car.

"I noticed my whole car had been rummaged through," said victim Shaleena Miller.

Miller lives three doors down from the deputy. The thieves broke into her car and stole her insurance cards and registration.

She said between the weapons being stolen and her stolen identification, she is afraid for her family, "Very unsafe. You never know, I have kids. It's very scary."

Azcucena Morillon woke up to find shattered glass in her driveway.

"They just stole the stereo and other stuff," said Morillon.

Along with her stereo, the thieves took presents and her daughter's school supplies.

"They took my backpack and left my binder on top of the truck," said Morillon's daughter Judith.

As police try to piece together the events of the crime spree, neighbors are worried.

"It's a real danger for us. We don't know if they're coming back," said Morillon.
