"Police found widespread damage to other vehicles, property, and houses around that same area," police said in a statement.

The vandals painted what appeared to be the letter "D."

The vandalism was found all over the area east to west from the 10700 to the 11400 block, and from West 66th Avenue north to West 72nd Avenue.

Neighbors said they feel violated.

"This is ridiculous; this is a great neighborhood with great people. Most of these people have been in this neighborhood for 20, 30 years," vandalism victim Phil Cusimano said. "We've never had a problem. Everybody knows everybody, everybody talks to everybody and takes care of everybody – like the way neighbors should be. And then something like this happens and you know it's somebody from the outside, and it's senseless."

Cusimano went around the neighborhood using non-acetone nail polish remover to help remove the graffiti from his neighbors property.

Police currently don't have any suspects and are asking for the public's help.
