Jury Questions Are Secret In Theater Shooting Case

DENVER (AP) - The judge overseeing the Colorado theater shooting case has finalized a list of 75 questions prospective jurors will have to answer, but it won't be released.

Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. on Tuesday submitted the heavily redacted questionnaire that thousands of potential jurors will be asked to complete in writing.

James Holmes is scheduled to go on trial in December on charges of killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the July 2012 attack at a Denver-area movie theater. Seating 12 jurors and 12 alternates will take months.

Samour has said he plans to issue 6,000 summonses and expects 3,300 people will respond. After they fill out the questionnaire, those who aren't dismissed will be questioned individually. He hopes at least 100 suitable jurors will remain after that.
