Recreational Marijuana Sales Begin In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Recreational marijuana sales officially began in Aurora on Wednesday.

The city anticipates the new industry will bring an additional $2.8 million in tax revenue.

Aurora has so far issued 21 retail licenses, but more shops are possible. The city received 58 applications for the 24 open spots.

Aurora says in the future they will allow an unlimited number of grow facilities, but right now the focus is on these new retail stores.
