DPS Points To Progress In Math Tutors Program
DENVER (CBS4) - A newly-expanded math program is helping Denver students.
The Denver Math Fellows Program offers tutoring during the school day to fourth-, sixth- and eighth-graders who are below grade-level in math.
The program began as a pilot program in 2011, and the next year it expanded to 44 additional schools.
According to DPS, in the program's first year of widespread implementation, it accelerated student academic growth at all grade levels.
