Pioneers Sign 13-Year-Old Soccer Star
DENVER (CBS4) – The University of Denver Pioneers added a new star to their soccer team on Friday, and he's only 13 years old.
Ben Brewer was signed this season by the men's soccer team. He's been battling cancer since he was 2 years old -- unfortunately with several relapses that have required more chemo, radiation and surgeries along the way.
Brewer matched with the Pioneers through a program called Team Impact that pairs courageous children with college sports programs.
