Rabbit Fever Case Confirmed In Weld County

ERIE, Colo. (CBS4) - Weld County has reported its first case of tularemia.

The patient lives near Erie, and after a stay in the hospital is now recovering at home.

Tularemia is also known as Rabbit Fever because it's one way it spreads to people.

The Weld County health department says the Front Range is seeing three times the normal number of tularemia cases.
