Veterinarian Pleads Guilty To Treating Humans
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A Greeley veterinarian, accused of treating humans without a medical license, made a surprising guilty plea in court.
Fran Freemyer pleaded guilty to two counts of unauthorized practice, a misdemeanor. He was also facing an assault charge but that was dropped.
Freemyer treated a man with an experimental cancer drug for animals. That man had to have three toes amputated due to improper care.
Freemyer will be sentenced next month. He could face jail time.
Freemyer had worked at Eldred Small Animal Hospital at 1825 9th Street.
