Attempted Murder Charges Possible For Teens In Jail Escape

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Four juveniles who escaped from Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center were due in court Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say the four suspects attacked an employee with a rock late Saturday and then escaped. They were arrested about seven hours later in Wheat Ridge

The suspects have been identified as Zachary Oliver, 17; Antoin Griego, 17; Ridwan Hussein, 15; and Devon Sells, 14. All escaped at approximately 12 a.m. on Sunday.

The district attorney has three days to decide about additional charges, including attempted murder in the case and there is a possibility some of the suspects could be charged as adults.

Resident Tim Hoffman saw the group as police caught up with them.

"I heard somebody yelling there on the corner and I thought it was the neighbor yelling at his dog, but then I saw that it was a police officer yelling at four kids; tapped them down and handcuffed all four of them," Hoffman said.

The employee, a 65-year-old man, is expected to make a full recovery.

A total of 130 young men are housed at Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center.
