Car Crashes Into Bar On South Broadway

DENVER (CBS4)- Firefighters blocked off South Broadway after a car crashed into the Skylark Lounge Friday afternoon.

The car crashed into the building at 134 S. Broadway just before 4 p.m.

Several firetrucks and firefighters rushed to the scene.

Copter4 flew over the crash where a gray sedan was on the sidewalk. Several firetrucks were blocking all lanes of South Broadway.

Police said the driver of the car that crashed into the building had swerved to try to avoid another car.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries. No one inside the bar on the sidewalk was hurt.

The Underground Music Festival is scheduled to begin along that section of South Broadway starting at 6 p.m.
