Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting Near Funeral Home

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver investigated an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead near a funeral home located near 47th and Tejon.

The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. The suspect who was shot was a fugitive but other details were released.

One officer suffered minor injuries in the incident that were not gunshot related.

A witness told CBS4 News that eight to 10 shots were fired near Elk and Tejon. That witness also saw more than 30 police officers.

Some attending the funeral may have known the suspect.
