Identity Of Man Killed In Thornton Home Explosion Released

THORNTON, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a 59-year-old man whose body was found in the rubble of a suburban Denver house that was leveled by an unexplained explosion.

The Adams County Coroner's Office identified the man Tuesday as Gary Lee Pine but did not release a cause or manner of death.

Debris clung to surrounding trees and rooftops and was scattered across two square blocks after Thursday's explosion in the northern Denver suburb of Thornton. City spokeswoman Lisa Wilson says investigators were looking into whether natural gas caused the blast.

She says three people lived in the house, and two were at work at the time of the explosion.
